They started where someone watched every step. Now they run in CI, in the cloud, on
schedules and inside products, holding credentials the whole time.
Most of that work runs with no one watching it, so misbehavior and drift
go unobserved.
Agents are running longer.
A run used to be a prompt and an answer. Now it is hours of unattended work, hundreds of
tool calls, and handoffs to other agents.
An early mistake goes uncorrected, and every step after it builds on top.
The longer the session, the less correct it gets.
Agents are going exponential.
Soon there will be thousands of agents for every person, each spawning
others, across providers and open models no single vendor controls.
No person can review, approve or read the transcript of each one.
Can you confidently delegate work to your agents?
Permissions control what an agent can reach. Trust also requires seeing what agents
do, controlling what they are allowed to do, and intervening when they cross a
boundary or drift.
